American Reunion starring Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan and Seann William Scott. Jim, Michelle, Stifler, and their friends reunite in East Great Falls, Michigan for their high school reunion. I’m just going to throw it out there… American Reunion was awesome! It had everything that made the original great crude humor throughout and nudity! But most of all heart. It also had great believable storyline and well-placed physical humor like the first American Pie. I laughed throughout the entire movie as well as everyone else in the theater. I was just great to see the whole gang get back together. It’s like seeing those old friends you hadn’t seen in awhile, but it’s like they never left. As well as bringing back the nostalgia of the high school years of the ’90s while still keeping it current. So whether you are a fan of the previous films or not this is one to check out for sure, you’ll laugh your ass off I promise.

Review for 21 Jump Street
Written by Josh Stiltner.
21 Jump Street Starring Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Ice Cube this is of course an updating of the 1987 TV series of the same name. In this take a pair of underachieving cops are sent back to a local high school to blend in and bring down a synthetic drug ring. This film take advantage of knowing it exists in a world driven by two buddies and a formula, so it decides to have a little fun with its premise and its off-the-wall, implausible ideas. And it works. I was a fan of the TV show back in the day, and am a huge fan of Jonah Hill so I was really looking forward to this flick. And I’m glad to say it was hilarious, the pairing of Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum was a good choice. The two did a great job, along with Ice Cube as their stereotypical angry black captain modeled after Axel Foley’s commanding officer in Beverly Hills Cop, was just too funny. Even though this film doesn’t find itself on the same level of some raunchy comedies, such as Knocked Up and Superbad it’s still gets allot of laughs. And if like me you were a fan of the original series keep your eyes open for some very welcomed cameos.

Review for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
Written by Josh Stiltner.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Starring Nicolas Cage, Ciarán Hinds and Idris Elba. As Johnny Blaze hides out in Eastern Europe, he is called upon to stop the devil, who is trying to take human form. So first off the CGI in this one was awesome, extremely well done. Far better then the first. Now with that being said, that almost doesn’t save this film from it’s flaws. It’s main flaw is that was that the film makers who I am a fan of decided in their infinite wisdom that they would rewrite a key point in Johnny Blaze’s history. That being his deal with the Devil which is different from the first movie. It almost seemed like they treated this film like a sequel and a reboot at the same time… That along with a some what weak story really didn’t help things. And story is important and that is a major flaw of this. The script is just riddled with awkward moments with awkward dialogue. Despite that I still enjoyed this flick for the most part because of the Crank directors, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor with their shaky camera, directing style and trademark insanity the directors brought to this film. But still those miner changes just kind of bugged me. But thankfully, there’s Nicolas Cage who spices things up with his crazy insane performance, which was very entertaining. Some people may be disappointed but if you’re in for some crazy Nicolas Cage and some crazy action then you’re going to enjoy this. So check it out and decide for yourself.

Beavis and Butt-Head: Volume 4 (BUY)
The boys are back!
Starring: Mike Judge
Synopsis: Animated MTV series about two teenaged heavy-metal music fans who occasionally do idiotic things because they are bored. For them, everything is “cool” or “sucks.”
I liked Beavis and Butthead when I watched it in 1993-1994. The show was much smarter than was advertised. For anyone who has ever done or wanted to do anything retarded, Beavis and Butthead is for you.

2011 San Diego Comic-Con Panel
Beavis & Butt-Head Interruptions
“Silence Your Cell Phone” announcement

Review for Safe House
Written by Josh Stiltner.
Safe House Starring Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds and Robert Patrick. It’s the story of a young CIA rookie, Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) who is tasked with looking after a fugitive in a safe house. But when the safe house is attacked, he finds himself on the run with his charge, CIA’s most wanted rogue agent Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington). I’m a huge fan of both Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds, so when I saw the trailer for this I was hooked and hoped for the best. Thankfully I got it. This film was awesome, from the look of the film to the acting, action and intrigue of the story. This film wasn’t like allot of the other films of this type, this one was less glamour all grit from start to finish. Ryan Reynolds played amazingly well off of Denzel Washington as the rookie agent forced to show what he’s really made, as he is pit against CIA’s best and most wanted and this outside force of mercenaries hell bent on getting Tobin Frost. It’s an awesome ride, so if you enjoy a good crime thriller with some sweet fight scenes and gun play thrown in for good measure then this is one to check out.
