To Michigan State University, all I have to say is, this is not Cupcake City anymore. They played Youngstown St & Florida Atlantic who didn’t challenge them! Against Notre Dame, MSU was truly exposed in the running game, as well as the passing game. Offensively QB Kirk Cousins was a huge disappointment; he did not make plays at all & played scared. In Cousins defense i will say MSU offensive line was inconsistent in protecting him & because of that MSU running game was also shut down. Notre Dame was on a mission to get a win, which they desperately needed! They could not lose another game! Their defense did a good job of stopping MSU running game, but I was most impressed with the defense movement  causing confusion for MSU! Offensively QB Tommy Rese struggled but at the end of the game calmed his nerves and started making the right reads. MSU will be playing Central Michigan this Saturday and they need to be careful, because just like them, Central Michigan is looking for a win, after their huge lost to Western Michigan.
