Movie Review: Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Review for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Starring Nicolas Cage, CiarĂ¡n Hinds and Idris Elba. As Johnny Blaze hides out in Eastern Europe, he is called upon to stop the devil, who is trying to take human form. So first off the CGI in this one was awesome, extremely well done. Far better then the first. Now with that being said, that almost doesn’t save this film from it’s flaws. It’s main flaw is that was that the film makers who I am a fan of decided in their infinite wisdom that they would rewrite a key point in Johnny Blaze’s history. That being his deal with the Devil which is different from the first movie. It almost seemed like they treated this film like a sequel and a reboot at the same time… That along with a some what weak story really didn’t help things. And story is important and that is a major flaw of this. The script is just riddled with awkward moments with awkward dialogue. Despite that I still enjoyed this flick for the most part because of the Crank directors, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor with their shaky camera, directing style and trademark insanity the directors brought to this film. But still those miner changes just kind of bugged me. But thankfully, there’s Nicolas Cage who spices things up with his crazy insane performance, which was very entertaining. Some people may be disappointed but if you’re in for some crazy Nicolas Cage and some crazy action then you’re going to enjoy this. So check it out and decide for yourself.
