Lions looked Awesome with a capital “A”

Lions headed to Denver on Sunday ready to play and eager to get back on track. Lions defeated the Broncos 45 to 10. Now technically the Lions are supposed to beat the Broncos because they are the weaker team but I was impressed in how they won.

First off QB Matthew Stafford showed he is not a punk or baby. He didn’t sit out do to an ankle injury. He played and played great. QB Matthew Stafford threw 21 of 30 for 267 yards and 3 touchdowns. He threw consistent and accurate passes but most of all he made one key adjustment. Stafford got the ball out quicker instead of standing in the pocket which benefits the team and him. He also spread the ball around very well to all of his receivers. Running wise the Lions did decent, they rushed for 101 yards but I wasn’t happy with the yardage, I was happy that they ran the ball more. Most of all I was impressed with the defense, the Lions caused 3 turnovers, 2 were fumbles and 1 interception. They did a great job of pressuring QB Tim Tebow and did decent job of stopping the run.

Now while I’m proud the Lions are back on track, the time to celebrate is over. They have a bye week this week but next week it’s time for a classic rival rematch next week against the Chicago Bears. We will be going on the road to for this game and this game will challenge the Lions. The Bears will be looking to upset the Lions. Lions are currently undefeated in the NFC North and ranked 2nd behind Green Bay. Lions need to stay focus and get ready for a tough game. I believe we will have to contain RB Matt Forte. Lions will need to pressure QB Jay Cutler. Lion’s offense line better be prepared to protect QB Matthew Stafford and he better get rid of the ball quick. So Lions enjoy your bye week, rest up, get healthy and come back focus and ready to play!
